Advent: A Time of Great Anticipation

Hello New Hope Family,

Advent is a time of anticipation! A time of expectantly waiting for the coming birth of Christ!

We have only 14 more “sleeps” until Christmas, but we can hardly wait! Can you imagine how hard it was to wait in that first Advent season? God’s people had been waiting for centuries for the coming Messiah.

Whether it’s weeks or years, nobody likes to wait! Unless… what you are waiting for is truly worth the wait!

The arrival of Jesus at Christmas was SO worth the wait! The birth of Christ changed everything! Our world, our relationship to God, our own Eternity! Those changes were definitely worth the wait!

Don’t Be Afraid

We are awaiting some big changes here in our church family. With those changes come lots of questions. Here we are waiting on answers to those questions, and nobody likes waiting!

What if we waited on these answers like we wait in the Advent Season -– expectantly and with anticipation. Knowing that God’s timing is perfect and that when He shows Himself, it will change everything for the better!

We know that Baby Jesus came into the world exactly when He was supposed to arrive. And we also know that God will show up (BIG) in our time of transition exactly when and how He is supposed to arrive.
