Most studies indicate that 80% of non-church-goers would likely visit a local church if someone simply invited them. Taking action to invite those around us can have a life-changing impact. Who will you invite to worship with us?

 

7 Practical Ways to Invite Someone to Church

1. Use an invite card

Invite cards that contain worship times and location can be found at the connection table in the worship center.

2. Email

Hi ___________

I hope you are having a great day!

As you know, I’m a part of New Hope Church and I’m so excited about all the great work God is doing here!

We have our worship services Sunday mornings at 9:30 and 11. Would you be interested in coming to worship with us soon?

Let me know when you would be available and we can make plans. 

3. Text message

Hey _________ , I would love for you to join me at church this Sunday! Will you be in town this weekend?

If you receive a positive response: Great! We have our worship services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Which one is better for you? Looking forward to it!

If you receive a negative response: That’s OK! I understand. Maybe we can work it out on another Sunday some time soon. We also worship Saturdays in the early evening. If that’s a better option for you, let me know and I’ll fill you in on the details. Have a great day!

I would love to have you join me at church here at New Hope some time soon! We have our worship services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. on Sundays.

6. Phone call/face-to-face invite

Connect relationally (health, family, occupation, etc.)

  • Give reason for your call. 

  • Talk about all the ways the God is working at New Hope. 

                        • Ministries for all ages

                        • Service, missions efforts 

                        • Intentional about spiritual growth and Belong Groups

  • Discuss worship service times for Sundays and Saturdays.

  • Invite them to come and be your guest.

  • Arrange details of their visit.

7. “I can meet you at …”

Be intentional with your invitations! Help your guests know that you genuinely want to see them at New Hope Church.
