God Works Profoundly in 'Seasons of Change'

Hello Church Family:

The older I get, the more I realize that life is made up of seasons. While God’s love and Word remain constant and unchanging, just about everything else in life is subject to change.

No one has taught me more about this truth than my dad. Watching him serve faithfully in ministry throughout my life has shown me how God works not only in the easy times but even more profoundly in times of struggle and change.

Trust, Faith and Obedience

Through him, I’ve learned that trusting God when it’s hard creates something deep within us that cannot be formed in any other way.

Spiritual maturity, relentless perseverance, and an unshakable joy—these are the gifts God gives us during seasons of change.

The Apostle Paul understood this well. That’s why he could say:

“I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:11b–13 ESV)

This weekend, I’m thrilled to welcome my dad, Dr. Mark Gonzales, as our guest speaker. He’ll share a message from God’s Word about “Seasons of Change”—a message that I believe will inspire and encourage us all.

I can’t wait to see you there!

In Christ,

~Pastor Phillip
