Where Does Your Life Fit Into God's Mission?
Hello New Hope Family,
I would like to share with you today a challenge I recently read from Pastor JD Greear. It sounds very similar to what we have been talking about here at New Hope lately...
When Paul explains why he’s preaching to the Gentiles (those outside of the family of God), this is how he justifies it: “Thus I make it my ambition to preach the Gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation, but as it is written,
‘Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand,’” (Romans 15:20-21 ESV).
Paul is showing us that the most significant factor in determining the will of God in our lives is not what we feel but what God’s Word says.
Old Testament scholar Christopher J.H. Wright said, “We often ask, ‘Where does God fit into the story of my life?’ When the real question is, ‘Where does my little life fit into the great story of God’s mission?’”
God has invited the New Hope Church family to join Him on His mission to reach the world beginning right here in Cape Coral. This mission will lead us across the street and all the way up to the northwest Cape! In preparation for what God is doing here, we are making room for the new people we believe He will continue to bring. Read about our second worship service on Sundays!
Praying for you,
~Pastor David
