New Sermon Series Starts This Weekend

I really enjoy going to the movie theater. There is nothing like a great summer blockbuster on the Big Screen! Sequels are all the rage these days as Hollywood tries to capitalize on the success of Part 1 to get folks back into the theater to watch Part 2.

This weekend we are starting a new series walking through the Book of Acts.

The author, Luke, wrote Acts as the follow up to his wildly successful first book called, “The Gospel According to Luke.” It picks up the story right where the Gospel of Luke finishes and creates a bridge to the theology-laden letters of Paul that are to come.

Best of all, it is a real page turner! We don’t get the genealogies of Matthew or the emotionalism of John, it is a true Action Story!

In fact, that’s where it got its name. It is called The Book of Acts because it tells of the Acts of the Holy Spirt, Acts of the Apostles and the Acts of the Early Church. The stories in this book come at a fast and furious pace, so you won’t want to miss any of the story.

Buckle your seat belts and get ready for an action-packed ride through the Book of Acts!
