God Provides Great Things When We Believe

Hi New Hope family,

My wife Heather and I recently celebrated 10 years of marriage. What a blessing!

... and it almost didn't happen..

You see, while she was in love with me for nearly two years, my own past hurt kept me from letting my "walls" down to let anyone in, no matter how wonderful.

It was only after the Holy Spirit did a major work in my heart that I finally started to BELIEVE in the possibility that maybe, just maybe, God wanted to give me a blessing even greater than I could have imagined. And with that belief finally in place, actions followed, and God has indeed blessed us greatly ever since.

Believe to Receive

Here's the point: if you do not BELIEVE God has greater things for you, you will never RECEIVE what he wants to give you.

James said as much when he shared "the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord, being double-minded and unstable in all his ways." (James 1:6b-8)

But what could God do in us, for us, and through us if we began to truly BELIEVE for greater things together?

That's what I'm excited to explore with you this Sunday as I share a message called "It's Time to Get More Jars".
